New Orleans, Louisiana, is a melting pot of musical genres. It’s a city known for its annual Mardi Gras festival, Bourbon Street nightlife, and the place where jazz was born. The Jazz Phools are a Tampa Bay based group performing jazz music from NOLA: From Traditional Dixieland to modern-era 2nd Line Brass, Funk, and Zydeco styles. Improvisation and the interplay among The Jazz Phools members make the music come alive with spontaneity, embodying the city known as the Birthplace of American Jazz.
