Carnivorous/Poisonous Plants – Learn how carnivorous plants capture insects to supplement nutrients in nutrient-poor soils, and uncover the surprising truths behind poisonous plants found in gardens, forests, and even our own landscapes. Through engaging discussion and beautiful visual examples, we’ll separate fact from fiction while gaining a greater appreciation for these extraordinary members of the plant kingdom, with a brief walk in the park to identify some poisonous plants. We will also provide a small carnivorous plant take-home for attendees.
