Pollinator Census Flyer
Friday & Saturday, August 22-23, 2025
Help scientists study pollinators right here in the park!
We’re participating in a regional effort to count pollinators and the flowers they visit. Your observations will provide valuable data to help scientists understand which pollinators are thriving and which plants attract them.
It’s easy to take part: chairs, clipboards, and counting sheets will be set up near flowering plants throughout the park. Choose a spot, observe for 15 minutes, and tally each insect that lands on a flower, even if it’s the same one returning. You can do more than one session using a new sheet each time.
After your observation, scan the QR code on the sheet to submit your data from your phone.
Pollinators like bees and butterflies are essential to our food system, but their populations are declining. This census helps raise awareness and provide critical insight for conservation efforts.
Join us to enjoy the outdoors, learn about pollinators, and make a real difference.
