About: Fun at the Park “Gnome and Fairy Festival” is a day of interactive and imaginative fun for the whole family.  From searching high and low for Fairy Doors, to finding hidden Gnomes or getting up close to a real live mystical creature, children and adults will feel like they are living out a storybook fantasy.   Live musical entertainment is always part of Fun at the Park.  Guests will enjoy the enchanting and mystical sounds of String Fyre, a 5 piece Celtic band, along with Irish step dancing performances by The Irish Echoes on the Sholom Park stage.  We will also have a Fairy Godmother sharing fairytales every half hour in the jasmine covered Pergebo.  Product vendors and event partners will be providing additional fairytale fun along with creative arts and crafts so everyone can take home a little piece of magic.

Attendance:  October’s 2019 Fun at the Park “Let’s Get Buggy 2!  brought over 4000 attendees to the park. We are anticipating over 5000 event attendees for our Gnome and Fairy Festival.

Food Vendor Application Fees: $75.00 application fee via check, cash or Paypal, must be received within 5 days of application approval.   Application fees are non-refundable after January 31, 2020.

Food Truck/Vendor Application Acceptance Policy: Confirmation for the Fun at the Park “Gnome and Fairy Festival” is based on the date and time of application submissions AND payment. Additionally, for food trucks, we will take your menu into account when we receive your completed application as our goal is to bring local food vendors/food trucks to the forefront to provide a unique experience for attendees by ensuring variety. While we are unable to guarantee there will not be competing vendors, we will take this into consideration as we receive vendor applications. The Sholom Park – HAPI, Inc.  reserves the right to turn down applications based on the number of applications received and overall variety of applications. You will be notified via email of your application approval.   At that time, you will have 5 business days to submit your payment mentioned above along with required licensing, permits and insurance certifications.

Proceeds:  Food trucks and vendors keep 100% of their proceeds for sales on the day of the event. However, food trucks/vendors are not allowed to sell ANY alcoholic beverage.

Set-up, Hours, Teardown:  Food Trucks/Vendors may begin to arrive as early as 9am on Sunday, February 23rd, 2020.  All food vendors must be on site no later than 11:30 am.  Any trucks arriving after the 11:30 am deadline will be turned away and will forfeit their application fee.  Set-up must be completed no later than 12:00 pm and food vendors must remain open for business until 4pm with no exceptions. The event begins at 1 pm but guests will begin arriving as early as 11 am.  There will be NO teardown or food trucks exiting the park prior to 4 pm to ensure the safety of our guests. Food vendors will set up in a designated location directed by Sholom Park staff.

Parking/Load in-out:   All food vendors and staff will enter the General Parking entrance just north of Sholom Parks main entrance.   You must check in with an event volunteer in General Parking for additional Food Vendor site and parking instructions.

Staff: All food vendor staff arriving in a separate vehicle must park in General Parking area

On-site Resources: All food trucks and vendors must be able to operate independently including water, electrical, refrigeration and any materials. Vendors are responsible for all set-up and clean-up of their vendor space and their immediate area surrounding such space.

Operating License, Insurance: Food vendors must provide Sholom Park , HAPI, Inc. with  a copy of their Operating License within 5 business days of your application approval. In addition, Food Vendors must also provide a Certificate of Insurance for $1,000,000 naming Sholom Park, HAPI, Inc., as the additionally insured subject.  Please include the event name, date and property address noted above.

Food Service Establishment Permit:  All Food Vendors must have a Food Service Establishment Permit. Food vendors MUST display a ServSafe Certification.  A copy of your ServSafe Certification must be provided to Sholom Park within 5 business days of your application approval.

Based upon the projected number of attendees, Food Vendors will likely be limited to no more than eight (8) and applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Additional Food Truck/Vendor Information and Guidelines

  • The event will be held rain or shine.
  • Sholom Park, HAPI Inc. reserves the right to cancel the event due to inclement weather concerns.  If Sholom Park, HAPI Inc. chooses to cancel the event, you will be notified via email and phone.  Full refunds will be issued to all paid vendors.
  • Please keep your area clean and do not throw trash next to or behind your area. Use the trash containers provided in the designated food truck area. Food Vendors are responsible for their own trash and trash removal.
  • No Food Truck or Vendor may produce or sell any alcoholic beverages.
